Being Globally Minded

Being globally minded

Write your understanding of the key concepts for this topic:

Economy is the way that people use the money carefully, the way that services can be sold in other countries around the world. An example for the economy is the stock master system. I know four different types of economies like the pure market economy, the pure command economy, the traditional economy and the mixed economy. The economy is a large set of the interrelated production and consumption activities that aid in determining how scarce resources are located.

Trade is a basic concept of buying and selling of goods and services which have been paid by the buyer or the seller or the exchange of goods and services between parties. Trade is a way you can make a living or the act of exchanging another example for trade would be like the tea trade where tea is imported by china and purchased in the U.S, trade is kind of like when you make one thing made out of so many things from other countries around the world

Globalisation is a type of interaction with people, companies, and the governments worldwide. Globalisation is a process by which people  move simply across the borders. Some examples of globalisation are the food industries, banking industries, and technological growth on a worldwide scale. Globalisation isn't only just an exchange of goods but can also be an exchange of ideas between others. The more technology, and the more transportation improves.

This term in social studies
i researched about meat and i found out that it was made over 2.6 million years ago and that there are a lot of trading companies from different countries and the countries are China, Australia, United States, Japan and Korea.
this subject has been really interesting to learn about just because of the researching part because sometimes i would have to type up different ways to get the one answer.
being globally minded was a real good thing to learn about and i really enjoyed it.

Migration end of unit blog

Kia ora this blog topic that i am blogging about is migration, this is the topic we have been doing for this term. My understanding of migration is the way that people leave and what changes and how it changes. Migration is when people move to other places. My understanding of place is the different types of nationalities and their different languages that they might have. My understanding of change is how it would be different when you are in a different country that you pick up on and your ways of the past are not the same as now.

In the things that we do with the river bend we have to find out what changes there are from moving from one place to another and if it's a good or bad thing.

Well not everyone stays or wants to stay in the same old place, but there are good reasons like myself. I wasn't born in New Zealand. I was born and raised in Australia for six years but we left and came into a better environment to grow up in. This topic was challenging in my learning because I would get confused or think twice to make sure that the way that they migrated was the way it was in the story.

I think that the way that it supported me in my learning was that part of learning how to walk through the way of migration and how different it is for some to others.

I think that out of the overall topic it was amazing to find out about Kupe the naming of Aotearoa the migration within my whanau and the riverbend, my own push and pull really helped me understand how migration goes.

the balaclava story

This word art is about a story we read and the name is The Balaclava Story, a balaclava is this type of mask that goes over your face. This story is about this boy that doesn't have a balaclava and he got left out. One time he went to the restroom and he saw a balaclava, without thinking about it he took it.  As soon as he gets out of the restroom he thinks he put it in his jacket but he didn't know he put it in the pocket of the owner.  On his way home he runs so none of his friends would know that he took the balaclava. When he got home he started to think of what could happen if they knew he took the balaclava.  The next day comes and he is very scared that he might get caught for taking a balaclava, but when they didn't talk about it he asks Norbet the one owns it "Did you lose your balaclava?" he said "Yes, but then the one who took it put it in my jacket."

signs of migration

This reflection is about signs of migration within my whanau, the person that i am reflecting on is my mum's mum, my Nan is from the north island, the culture that she originates from is Maori.
An experience from her past life was when she attended bay of islands college she only travelled to one place and that was Fiji, she went there on a school trip to do Kapa Haka.
My Nan was born and raised by her grandmother.

The holidays.

In the holidays me and my cousins went for a ride up the road from where i live, we had a lot of fun.The place that we went to was really muddy and yuck, We ended up with the dirtiest clothes ever so we had to wash them ourselves. We also made concrete with the hand mixer so what we had to do was add three shovels of concrete mix and then there was a line were the water had to be touching so that it is the right amount and then we had to add twelve to fifteen shovels full of rocks that was made for concrete so we had to add a lot of it, the mixture had to be dry but not to dry and not

soggy. On Friday I went to work with my mum and I got to meet her clients that she had to care for. The night before I had to put my alarm on for five o’clock so I could get ready and leave at five thirty. That morning we got up, got ready and headed off. It was obviously still dark and cold so I put on my dressing gown to keep warm. The first client we went to she lived in Taiharuru, her name was Monner Davies, she owns Davies beach and holiday homes there, my mums second client did not live that far from Monner so we went there and his name was Zack, he lived next to a beach with white sand, and that was cool because i got to go for a walk on the beach and i drew a sculpture of a house with a three legged dog. We left Zacks house and we went school shopping and clothes shopping because i didn't have any jumpers and pants so i went to get that, we stopped by this place near the number one shoe warehouse to have lunch and it was yum, we got bacon, wedges and hash browns, then we left to get me some shoes, then we found some shoes for Desiree to wear to go to her ball but she said they were to small so then we headed home. By the time we got home it was dark so I went for a shower and went to bed. Overall I had an exhausting but fun holiday.
